Phase 1: Foundations (4 Weeks)

In the first phase, the goal is to  building up your bodily awareness to develop a strong jumping base. 

By working a lot of specific positions you'll begin to master your body's behavior and  perform each jump movement with mindfulness.

This is crucial, as it sets the stage for rapid vertical jump progress and it is often that athletes will already experience a 1-3" increase in vertical jump at this stage!



Phase 2: Dynamic Efforts (4 Weeks)

The second phase is for optimizing the body mechanics to move in jump-specific ways with more dynamic efforts and resistance. This is an incredible routine to perfect your timing and achieve quicker explosion off of the floor.
You'll experience a higher volume of dynamic jumping with every exercise while tieing all of the movements you learned in phase 1 together into 1 natural jumping movement.

Phase 3: Overspeed & Resistance (4 Weeks)

In Phase 3 we will introduce a training style we call overspeed and resistance progressions. They  train your muscles to absorb energy and recoil it upwards towards the sky for a powerful, and explosive jump. The key is that we're creating strong habits so that jumping your highest becomes second nature so that when it's time to to spike a volleyball or dunk a basketball, you will be able to jump your highest without even thinking.

How many inches will I gain using this? 
It's impossible to say exactly and anyone that promises you a specific number of inches is just lying to you to get your money.  That being said, statistically we see somewhere between 2-10" of vertical jump change using The Missing Link.  It is best utilized in conjunction with one of our Remote Training programs, but works very well on it's own too!
How long will it take me to jump higher?
Within the first few workouts you will notice a change to your jumping confidence.  This has traditionally helped many athletes see improvements to their vertical jump within 1-3 sessions.  However, it is impossible to promise that. 
How do I avoid Knee pain?
Knee pain is less of a maybe in jump training, but more of a when and how bad will it be.  The nature of jumping is explosive and high speed, therefore the structures of the knee and multiple other joints are at risk of injury.  This is why we strongly suggest to use The Missing Link in conjunction with a strength training program to both amplify your results and protect against injury.
Don’t I need a plyometric program to jump higher?
When training to jump higher, not everything needs to look like a jump.  Jump technique builds the efficiency of your body to express the strength and power that you already possess.  It's similar to patching a hole in a garden hose.  The hose still produces water with the hole, but when the hole is fixed, the flow of water is stronger.
